PolyLite™ ABS 1.75mm 1kg

PolyLite™ ABS is made with a specially developed bulk polymerized ABS resin that has significantly lower volatiles compared to traditional ABS, providing excellent print quality with minimal odor during the printing process.

Combining impact strength with heat resistance (~100˚C), PolyLite™ ABS is a good choice for mechanical parts, robotics, functional prototypes or spare parts for household appliances.

Print requirements

  • Enclosure that can trap ambient air and keep it warm

  • All-metal hotend capable of reaching 250°C+ is recommended (but not required)

And that's it! You can use Magigoo Original to improve adhesion to the build plate.

If you are using an older model standard printer, we recommend printing slower.

FAQ - PolyLite™ ABS

Which 3D printer can print PolyLite™ ABS?
Depending on the size of the models you want to print, PolyLite™ ABS may require a closed 3D printer or even an actively heated chamber.

  • On an open printer with a 90°C heat bed and 260°C nozzle temperature, you can typically print models that are smaller than a fist.

  • For larger prints, a closed 3D printer (~40–50 °C) is recommended.

  • For models over approximately 15–20 cm in one direction, an actively heated chamber (~70 °C+) is required.

Using the right adhesive also helps to print larger parts without deformation/warping. We recommend Magigoo or BuildTak as the adhesive and print surface.

Can PolyLite™ ABS be post-treated with acetone?
Yes, PolyLite™ ABS can be smoothed with acetone.
⚠️ WARNING: Acetone is a dangerous chemical - always handle it with the necessary safety precautions.

We recommend PolySmooth™ as a safer alternative to achieve smooth surfaces.

Do the coils in AMS work?
Yes! We have redesigned the edges of our coils so that all Polymaker products now work seamlessly in AMS.

Is the material food safe?
Unfortunately, we have no data to confirm that this material is food safe. Currently, no 3D printing materials on the market are FDA-approved for food contact.
The reason is that it is not the raw material, but the finished object that needs to be certified. Factors such as shape, print bed, environment and more come into play. Therefore, there is no real FDA certification for 3D printing today.

Do you sell refills?
Unfortunately – we do not offer refills at this time.
