ABS+ 1.75 mm

– Impact resistant and luminescent

This ABS+ filament with glow-in-the-dark effect combines high strength with an exciting luminescent feature. The material contains phosphorescent particles that charge with light and glow in the dark, making it ideal for creative and functional 3D prints.

What is ABS+ filament?

ABS+ is an improved version of regular ABS filament, developed to provide better print quality and fewer issues during printing. Compared to traditional ABS, the risk of cracking and warping (deformation) is significantly reduced, especially when printing larger models.

The material combines the strong properties of classic ABS with improved stability during printing.

Advantages of ABS+

  • High strength – suitable for functional and stressed parts

  • Improved toughness – less risk of parts breaking

  • High impact resistance – can withstand shocks and stress

  • Good wear resistance – suitable for mechanical components

  • Heat resistance – better temperature resistance than PLA

  • Reduced warping and cracking for larger prints

ABS+ is often used for prototypes, mechanical parts, tools, enclosures, and functional components where high durability and stability are required.

ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is one of the most popular materials in the 3D printing world. Here are some of the many advantages of using ABS filament:

  1. High Strength: ABS is known for its high strength and durability, making it ideal for printing parts that need to withstand wear and stress.

  2. Thermal Stability: ABS has a high melting temperature, making it suitable for objects that need to withstand heat.

  3. Glossy Finish: ABS filament provides a glossy finish, making it an attractive choice for cosmetic and aesthetic prints.

  4. Easy to Post-Process: ABS can be sanded, painted, and lacquered, making it easy to post-process your prints to achieve the desired look.

  5. Good Chemical Resistance: ABS is resistant to many chemicals, making it a good choice for industrial applications.

  6. Compatibility: ABS is compatible with a wide range of 3D printers, making it a versatile choice.

NOTE! If you are a beginner and don't know which filament to choose, you can read our guide here.

Our ABS is packaged in vacuum bags and a sturdy cardboard box, protecting it during transport and making it easy to store

Due to the transition between plastic and cardboard spools, some filament rolls will come on cardboard spools. If you need to use the filament in an ACE or AMS, you can print this plastic edge: Printables link

High strength and durability

ABS is known for its strong mechanical properties and is particularly well-suited for:

  • Functional components

  • Tools and spare parts

  • Prototypes

  • Parts requiring high impact resistance and robustness

Glow in the Dark effect

The filament contains phosphorescent materials, which absorb light energy and then glow in the dark.

To achieve the best effect, it is recommended to charge the print in direct sunlight or UV light before using it in the dark.

Stable quality and precision

The filament is produced with a focus on uniformity and stable prints.

  • Diameter: 1.75 mm

  • Dimensional accuracy: ±0.03 mm

  • Low tolerance and stable filament feeding

  • Good layer adhesion

  • Minimal stringing

  • No bubbles or cracks

  • Beautiful and precise surface finish

Recommended print settings

  • Nozzle temperature: 240–250 °C

  • Build plate: 90–100 °C

  • Print speed: 30–50 mm/s

  • Build plate surface: PEI plate with ABS glue

  • Cooling fan: Low for better surface finish, off for maximum strength

Packaging

The filament is dried for 24 hours before vacuum packing, which protects the material from moisture and ensures stable print quality with minimal odor and low warping during printing.

Compatibility

Compatible with most enclosed FDM 3D printers that support ABS filament.

How to store filament

If you are not using your printer for more than a few days, you should retract the filament to protect the printer's nozzle.

To prolong the filament's lifespan, you should place the opened filament back into its original vacuum bag and store it in a cool, dry place after use.

When storing the filament, thread the loose end through the holes on the edge of the spool to prevent tangling, ensuring it can be fed correctly the next time you use it.
