Printing tips
With the addition of natural wood powder, PLA Wood has the following special properties compared to regular PLA:

Higher moisture absorption: PLA Wood contains natural wood powder, which makes it more sensitive to moisture. Dry the material before use to ensure the best print quality and a consistent finish.

Storage and Drying: Although PLA Wood is thoroughly dried and vacuum-packed before shipping, variations during shipping can affect moisture content. We strongly recommend drying the filament immediately after opening and storing it in a sealed container with silica gel or AMS. Repeat drying and moisture proofing before each long-term storage.
Drying instructions: For best results, dry at 55 ± 5°C for 8 hours in a blow dryer or 65–75°C for 12 hours in an X1 chamber. Click here for more details. -
Color variation: Natural wood powder may give slight color variations depending on the level of drying and differences in the raw material.

Woody smell: During printing, PLA Wood emits a mild, natural wood scent due to the wood powder content. The smell is neither irritating nor toxic.
