Cut threads in your 3D print so you can screw a machine bolt in. If there is no room for a metal insert or your 3D print only needs to be assembled once or twice, a cut thread may be something for you.
It takes a bit of practice, when cutting your thread the hole should be ~0.2-0.5mm smaller than your chosen bolt. So M4 should be 3.5-3.8mm. When cutting 3 turns forward, half a turn back and repeat until you have achieved the chosen depth.
The above is a guideline but each person has their own way of cutting threads. Experiment.
Comes in sizes: M3, M4, M5, M6 and M8.
We do not recommend cutting metal as the threaded stud will wear out faster. Therefore, only cut plastic.
