Upgrade your Bambu Lab AMS to dry filament

The SUNLU AMS Heater is an upgrade for Bambu Lab's first-generation AMS, replacing the top lid to allow for simultaneous filament drying and printing. It heats up quickly and evenly to 70°C in 20 minutes, actively controlling humidity and temperature to improve print quality and save time and space.

Simultaneous Drying and Printing

This heating unit upgrades the AMS top lid. Compared to the traditional AMS printing process, which requires drying the filament before printing, the upgraded version allows for simultaneous printing and drying.

Intelligent Humidity Monitoring Mode

① Default heating temperature in humidity mode: 55°C — users can adjust and save the temperature.

② Default operating time: 6 hours.

③ When the countdown ends, the unit does not turn off; it automatically starts heating when humidity rises to 50% and stops heating when humidity drops to 20%.

④ In rH mode, users can adjust the humidity (range: 25%–50%).
After adjustment, the unit automatically begins using the set value.

20 Minutes to 70℃

Highly efficient heating with even temperature distribution, reaching 70°C within 20 minutes. The dual airflow design ensures uniform heat distribution, prevents localized overheating of materials, and effectively reduces the risk of thermal deformation.

About rH Mode

When the AMS heater is in “rH mode”, the display remains on after the countdown ends, and the “Time” indicator shows “Close”.
In “rH mode”, the default humidity threshold is set to 50%. When humidity exceeds 50%, the AMS heater begins heating.

Users can adjust the activation threshold for “rH mode” within the range of 25% to 50%, as needed.
For example, if set to 25%, the heater activates when humidity exceeds 25%. When humidity drops to 20%, the AMS heater stops heating and enters standby mode.

Compact and Space-Saving Upgrade

The AMS Heater is easily installed on top of the AMS using a "loosen–swap–tighten" principle in approximately two minutes. It supports up to 16 stacked spools and maintains a compact design.

Built-in Safety Features

Combines PTC heating element, 115°C thermal fuse, and software control of heating and ventilation for safe and stable operation.

Why It Matters

This upgrade saves both time and space by enabling drying directly within the AMS. It reduces humidity issues and is a much more affordable alternative than Bambu Lab's AMS 2 Pro.

  • Please note that this product is optimized and upgraded exclusively for Bambu Lab's AMS (1st generation) and is not compatible with automatic material systems from other brands.

  • Regarding the visibility of the lid, the entire lid is not fully transparent. There is a transparent area on the front of the lid, allowing for viewing of internal operations.

What other precautions should be taken when using AMS heaters?

  • When opening this product, only lift it to the specified stop position. Pay attention to the opening angle and force to avoid damage from excessive movement.

  • To ensure optimal drying results, do not open the AMS heater during the drying process.

  • When the ambient temperature is below 10℃, slow heating or an actual chamber temperature slightly lower than the displayed temperature is normal.

  • When setting the working temperature to 70℃, ensure that the filament spool has a temperature tolerance above 70℃ to prevent deformation.
