Printing tips

  1. Drying required: Bambu PETG-CF must be dried properly before printing.

    • In a blast oven: 65°C for 8 hours

    • In AMS 2 Pro or AMS HT: 65°C for 8 hours

    • On the X1 printer heatbed: 75–85°C for 12 hours

  2. Nozzle Recommendation: Due to the carbon fiber addition, PETG-CF requires a more durable hardened steel nozzle. A 0.4 mm nozzle can be used, but a 0.6 mm nozzle is recommended to further reduce the risk of clogging.

  3. Z-axis strength: For better layer adhesion on the Z-axis, increase the infill density. Avoid open frame printers and do not set the cooling fan too high as overcooling can weaken the layer bond.

  4. Surface finish: For a shinier result, use lower print speeds and a slightly higher nozzle temperature.
