Seamless integration

The XL cabinet is designed for seamless integration with the rest of the printer. Not just the physical parts, but also the software: Because the cabinet is directly connected to the printer's motherboard, you can configure a number of useful features directly through the printer's LCD touch panel. Set the filtration performance and even the post-print filtration duration (e.g. when printing from materials such as ASA or PCCF) so that the system runs for additional time to filter all particles produced during the print job, control the LED strips and check the HEPA filter life easily in the printer's menu.

Print advanced materials with ease

The Original Prusa XL enclosure makes printing from certain materials easier, while adding a host of other benefits. Advanced filtration system with HEPA filter (99.9% efficiency) helps reduce odors and prevents the spread of ultrafine particles (UFPS) into the air. The XL printer automatically controls the filtration and utilizes the airflow, where air is sucked in from below and blown through the HEPA filter out of the enclosure. You can check the temperature inside the enclosure using the thermometer located on the enclosure door (indicative only), or by using the information on the printer's display.

For materials that do not produce as many particles and odors (such as PLA and PETG), filtration is not used to extend the life of the HEPA filter, but can be activated manually. The XL printer also monitors the use of the HEPA filter and notifies you when it is time to replace it. You can easily order a new filter from our e-shop. The cabinet also contains an additional LED strip that is synchronized with your XL printer, and in addition to illuminating the print area, it also acts as a printer status indicator.

Everything is included in the package including plastic parts, you don't need to print anything yourself. You just need to replace several plastic components on your printer (such as a few parts of the nextruder or the belt holder) with the parts included in the box, which are made of a more heat-resistant material (PCCF). A 3D printer is not part of the package.

Main Features

Stable printing environment

The enclosure creates a stable printing environment with elevated temperatures, protecting the printer from drafts and cold air. This is perfect for printing demanding high-temperature materials that are otherwise prone to warping - such as PCCF, Nylon, PP and more. It also reduces dust buildup on moving parts, helping to keep the printer running and reducing the frequency of maintenance required.

Advanced filtration system

The filtration system is especially useful when printing from PC Blend Carbon Fiber and other materials that produce particles during printing. It also reduces odor and prevents the dispersion of ultrafine particles (UFPS) into the air when printing from certain materials.

High quality components

The frame is made of metal and the side and top panels are made of PETG plastic. The frame has mounting elements for mounting various additional printed parts, electronics, cameras and other add-ons and tidy cable management. The cabinet also contains an additional LED strip that is connected directly to the XL printer and synchronized with its built-in LED strips. In addition to illuminating the print area, it also acts as a printer status indicator.

Bellows cover

Some materials, such as PLA, do not perform well at high temperatures. That's why we have designed a special magnetic bellows cover that can be quickly folded, creating much better airflow to maintain optimal conditions for these materials. This ensures that you will be able to print any material without limitations. The bellows cover is made of high-quality and durable polyester and polyurethane.

Unlike conventional hinged doors, the folding lid does not take up extra space on the sides or in front of the printer and also gives you much better access to the entire printing area.
