Improved Spool Compatibility – Ready for Cardboard Spools and More

The spring-loaded, rotating spool holder design grips the spool in the center hole, improving compatibility with different spool sizes and materials – especially cardboard spools, which often present challenges in other systems.

AMS Lite is designed with ease of use and simple maintenance in mind. The open and transparent construction makes it easy to access the internal components, and the transparent housing allows the user to quickly identify and resolve any problems.

Hassle-Free Removal of Support Material

Using AMS Lite , Bambu Lab printers can work with snap-away support materials or dissolvable filaments , making it significantly easier to remove supports. This saves time and improves the final result – perfect for complex or detailed models.

Automatic Filament Recognition with RFID

When using Bambu Lab filaments , AMS Lite automatically detects RFID tags and identifies the material immediately . The optimal print settings are automatically selected, ensuring better print quality and fewer errors .

RFID data is synchronized directly with Bambu Studio , eliminating manual setup.

If you use filament from other manufacturers, the material must be configured manually either in Bambu Studio or directly on the printer.

Supported Filament Types¹

• PLA, PETG, ASA, PET, PA, PC

• PVA (dry), BVOH (dry), PP, POM, HIPS

• Bamboo PLA-CF and PAHT-CF

Not Recommended Filaments²

• Bamboo PLA Glow and PETG-CF

• PLA Glow-in-the-dark from third-party manufacturers
  (May cause errors when loading and increased wear on components)

Unsupported Filaments³

• TPE, TPU

• PVA and BVOH (in wet state)

• Bamboo PET-CF, PA6-CF, TPU 95A

• Other filaments with carbon fiber or glass fiber
  (Too soft, brittle or abrasive materials are not supported)

¹ Support is assessed based on filament input and output. Compatibility with the printer should be assessed separately before printing.
² These materials may cause malfunctions during use and shorten the life of the AMS Lite.
³ Materials with extreme flexibility, brittleness or abrasiveness are not compatible.
