Extra-large build volume
Extra large volume for extra large ideas.
330 × 320 × 325 mm. That's 105% more space than the 256 mm class. A full-size helmet, in one piece. A batch of 40 fidget toys, in one run. Projects that previously required splitting the model into multiple parts—or had to be restarted when the assemblies didn't fit—now just work.

Modular add-ons
Add a new dimension with knife cutting
Replace the print head cover with the cutting module, and the A2L is no longer just a printer—it can also cut. Stickers, leather, fabric, paper. Custom decals for your model airplane? Done. A leather inlay for the handle of your Excalibur? Done.

Engineered for stability

Adaptive Vibration Compensation
A model gets taller. It gets heavier. And the vibrations change with it. Most printers run input shaping once at startup and are done. The A2L runs Adaptive Vibration Compensation—a real-time calibration matrix that considers both the toolhead position and the changing load on the build plate. The system re-tunes the resonance model layer by layer as the print grows. The last layer is as clean as the first.

Granular Dampers
Software handles the vibrations it can predict. Hardware takes care of the rest. Inside the A2L's gantry are two granular dampers—sealed chambers filled with fine particles that dampen vibrations through countless micro-collisions. This technique is inspired by aerospace and precision mechanics and is rarely seen in desktop 3D printers. The result: surface ripples and "ghosting" lines are kept out of your prints, even at maximum build height.

Automatic Material System
Multi-color made easy
Multi-color printing is not new. But doing it thousands of times in a row without a single blockage is. That's the standard AMS lite is built to exceed. Over a million users worldwide have subjected it to long, color-intensive prints—the kind where one wrong change can ruin 12 hours of work—and it continues to reliably and stably switch materials.

Supports 2nd Gen AMS
Pair the A2L with the 2nd Gen AMS, and your filament gets a sealed, climate-controlled home—dried on-demand before each print and stored airtight between prints.
Need more colors? Or different material types side-by-side? AMS lite and 2nd Gen AMS share the same built-in buffer system, so you can stack and combine them: four spools, eight spools, sixteen spools—whatever your project demands, it will be born cleanly and stably through one unified queue.

Intelligent print monitoring
Put your print on autopilot
Most print failures happen quietly—the nozzle still moves, but the object itself stopped building hours ago. Sensors along the extrusion path, combined with the PMSM extruder as a feedback node, send data to a Bambu-trained algorithm that detects filament tangling, run-out, nozzle clogs, and "air printing." The system pauses the A2L and guides you through the solution in Bambu Handy.
Automatic flow dynamics calibration
Repeatable sharp print details
Most printers calibrate flow once and trust it for all future prints. The A2L calibrates every single time. Before each job, Flow Dynamics Calibration measures how the filament actually flows through this nozzle, with this spool, today—and builds a non-linear model of the entire extrusion path.
Nozzle wear, filament moisture, a brand new roll—everything is taken into account before the first layer is laid. Sharp corners. Clean details. Print after print.
UL Clean Air Certified
Print with peace of mind
The A2L is certified to the UL 2904 standard for indoor air quality in 3D printing when used with official filaments. Tests with our core range—including Bambu PLA Basic, Bambu PLA Pure, and Bambu PETG Basic—confirm ultra-low emissions, making the A2L safe for indoor use.
Engineered for silence
Print silently. Work comfortably.
The A2L uses active noise cancellation of motor sounds, precise linear rails, and intelligent fan control to deliver a frictionless experience. In Silent Mode, it operates at just 49 dB—as quiet as a quiet library.
Connectivity & privacy
Connect your way
Your printer, your privacy. Use Bambu Cloud for easy cross-device connection, or switch to LAN-only mode for a secure, local network experience. Full control over how you connect.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
1) Reference to installation space.

2) What are the primary differences between the A2L and A1 series? Is it just a larger version of A1?
In addition to a 105% increase in build volume (up to 330 mm × 320 mm × 325 mm), the A2L features several major breakthroughs in core hardware and algorithms:
- Extrusion System Upgrade: Equipped with a PMSM closed-loop servo extruder, which ensures stable power during high-speed printing and supports active monitoring of extrusion anomalies.
- Adaptive Vibration Compensation: The first model with an adaptive algorithm featuring multi-point calibration and load adaptation, which significantly reduces ghosting and ringing on large or tall prints.
- Physical Resonance Damping: Two granular dampers are built into the frame to physically absorb resonance and improve surface quality.
- Multifunctional Creativity: A new modular mounting point allows for the installation of a blade cutting module for 2D creative projects.
- More Reliable Nozzle Clogging Detection: A new contact-based detection switch has been added. Dedicated hardware now performs detection via physical contact, making it more stable and reliable.
3) Why doesn't the A2L have dual-nozzle or multi-toolhead technology?
The A2L is designed to deliver an ultra-clean, simple, and user-friendly large-format printing experience. Therefore, we have prioritized optimizing core performance—such as build volume, surface quality, and reliability. For users who want advanced dual-nozzle functionality, our X2D is a strong alternative.
4) What is the noise level during normal printing?
The A2L delivers an exceptionally quiet experience. In Silent Mode, the noise level is below 49 dB (similar to a quiet library). In Standard Mode, the peak noise is approximately 52 dB. (Data from internal tests at Bambu Lab)
5) Why is the maximum bed temperature lower than the A1?
As an open printer, the A2L is primarily designed for non-technical filaments like PLA and PETG, which require lower bed temperatures. Due to the significantly larger surface area, higher temperatures would consume too much power. To avoid overloading household electrical installations, the maximum is set to 80 °C. This ensures support for mainstream materials with more efficient energy consumption.
6) What intelligent detection features does the A2L have?
The A2L introduces a PMSM closed-loop servo extruder and a physical “blob” (nozzle clog) detection switch, which provide more precise extrusion monitoring and protect against material accumulation. In addition, it inherits the A1 series’ renowned detection features, including filament run-out, nozzle clogging (air printing), and tangled spool detection.
7) How many AMS units can be connected to the A2L?
The A2L is highly expandable and supports up to 4 box-type AMS units and 1 AMS lite in series, providing up to 19-color printing. (Connecting box-AMS uses one buffer path, so one AMS lite slot will be occupied.)
More info can be found in the Wiki.
8) Does the AMS drying function require an external power supply?
Yes. Due to the A2L’s power distribution logic, the AMS 2 Pro and AMS HT drying functions require an external, independent power supply via cable or power adapter.
9) Does the A2L support laser or blade cutting modules?
For safety reasons due to the open design, the A2L does not support laser modules. However, a modular mounting point for blade cutting and pen plotting is supported.
10) What accessories are required for 2D functions?
Simply purchase the “Blade Cutting Upgrade Kit,” which includes the cutting module, pen module, cutting mat, and associated accessories. (Materials for 2D work can also be found in the Bambu Store).
11) Is the blade cutting function identical to the H2 series?
The A2L does not have a BirdsEye camera and therefore cannot perform fully automatic Live Spatial Alignment like the H2 Laser series. However, users can use Bambu Handy with a smartphone camera for photo-assisted alignment. The “Print-then-Cut” function is under development and may be included in a future OTA update.
