- The 3D printing adhesive for glass fiber reinforced polypropylene

Magigoo Pro PPGF is designed to work exclusively with glass fiber-filled polypropylene filaments. This professional-use adhesive ensures that prints stick firmly to the build plate while it's hot, and that the object is easy to remove once the plate cools down. This unique and innovative mechanism means there's no need for tools to remove prints from the plate – they simply release themselves as the plate cools down.

Why choose Magigoo Pro PPGF?

Magigoo Pro PPGF acts as a thermally activated interlayer, providing better interaction – both at micro and molecular levels – between the print plate and the print material. It is generally recommended to print at temperatures recommended by the filament supplier. Printing conditions may vary from printer to printer.

To find the best temperature, one can start at the low end of the recommended settings and then increase the build plate temperature in 5°C increments. This should be done with standardized calibration prints.

A further advantage of Magigoo Pro PPGF is that it is thermally activated and therefore releases the print when it cools down. Different printers, print surfaces, and filaments will have slightly different release conditions, but as a rule of thumb, a temperature reduction of 30-40°C will be sufficient to remove the print without hassle.

The best and most reliable performance is achieved when the product is applied in a thin layer. Therefore, it is recommended to clean and apply a new layer between prints – especially for long print jobs or materials that are difficult to print.

WHAT:

Magigoo PP-GF is designed to work exclusively with glass-reinforced polypropylene (GFPP) filaments. This adhesive ensures that prints stick firmly when the print bed is hot, and that the part is easy to remove once cooled.

WHY:

Polypropylene (PP) is a thermoplastic semi-crystalline polymer that has good properties such as strength, impact resistance, and ductility, making it useful as an engineering material. However, PP is a soft material, and like most other plastics, it can be reinforced by incorporating fibers, making it a polymer composite material. These materials are usually stiffer and stronger than the original polymer and can result in a material with a very high strength-to-weight ratio. Compared to most new PP filaments, GF30PP warps to a greater extent. This type of material requires a completely new adhesive formulation to leverage its specific characteristics.

HOW:

Magigoo PP-GF is designed and tested to work with 30% glass fiber filled polypropylene


  • Shake the bottle vigorously.
  • Apply to the desired area by pressing the tip onto the bed (which activates the internal valve) and spreading as needed.
  • Print in accordance with filament/printer manufacturer recommendations.
  • Allow to cool and remove. The print should pop off immediately.
  • Clean - Use a damp cloth to wipe it off.

Tips:

  • For challenging prints, a 20 mm brim with 2 layers is recommended.
  • Clean the build plate and level it well before printing.
  • Enclosed printer is recommended.
  • Print speed 20-55mm.
