360° Cooling – Print without supports

Reduce the need for supports and print faster with less material! Thanks to 360° cooling, the MK4S allows you to print overhangs up to 75° without supports, significantly reducing print costs and time. This also simplifies printing flexible materials like TPU, where removing supports is often a challenge.

Solid and durable prints

With the MK4S, you get prints that last. Its new cooling fan and high-flow nozzle provide excellent layer adhesion, making your entire prints strong and durable. It comes with a wide range of print profiles, allowing you to prioritize higher speed or maximum robustness.

Perfect surface

Your models will be smooth and a joy to behold, as the MK4S's print profiles prioritize perfect surface quality. You can adjust the print layer height to match your desired level of detail and print everything from super intricate models (with a 0.25mm nozzle) to larger objects where detail matters less.

It significantly reduces print time thanks to the new cooling fan with a powerful turbine and 360° airflow, as well as a high-flow nozzle that allows for maximized filament flow. Seamless workflow

You can remotely control your printer(s). The MK4S includes an ethernet port and Wi-Fi with NFC setup, allowing you to manage it from anywhere using the secure Prusa Connect system or mobile app. For maximum security, the printer can also function fully offline.

Advanced materials

Choose the best filament for your model, the MK4S can handle most of them: PLA, PETG, ASA, carbon-filled filaments, and even flexible TPU! We do not collect information about your prints or your printer's environment without consent. We believe that whether you are developing a new generation of spacecraft or just printing silly things for your friends, no organization should be interested in this information. This is why our printers can be found in top companies, universities, and research institutions around the world.
Our printers are primarily designed for full offline operation without disadvantages or limitations. You have the option to share data with our technical support and connect your printer to the Prusa Connect remote printing management system, but only if you choose to do so. Our code is open source, so you can always check that we are not cheating or stealing your files, even when connected to the internet.

Accessories for enthusiasts

The MK4S is compatible with two new optional add-ons for enthusiasts and modders. First, the GPIO "hackerboard" allows you to control external electronics using G-code. Every original Prusa 3D printer receives long-term support for years after its launch. Not just small bug fixes, but major firmware and hardware upgrades that bring useful new features. And the MK4 is no exception. Compared to the original Prusa MK4, the MK4S brings the following innovations:

Open design - simple maintenance

Our machines are built to last. We operate a massive print farm with over 700 of our printers running 24/7. This means we design our machines to withstand non-stop operation with minimal downtime. The open "bed-slinger" design is the result of 10 years of development and allows the easiest access to all parts without a lengthy disassembly process. No welded or glued parts, everything can be taken apart with a set of Allen wrenches.

Designed for offline use

The MK4S is designed for built-in offline use, so if you don't want to use the network services, you don't have to. The printer can be configured completely without internet access, and there are no disadvantages or limitations. The Wi-Fi module can be easily disconnected for environments that require the highest level of security.

Nextruder & 32-bit platform

The MK4S is built on the internally developed 32-bit embedded platform and features our next-generation extruder, the Nextruder.

Add-ons

MMU3

The MK4 can be enhanced with an optional add-on that allows your single-extruder printer to print with up to 5 colors (materials) at the same time. Load the five colors of your choice, slice the object in PrusaSlicer, start the print, and let the MMU3 handle the rest.

With entirely new plastic parts, reinforced metal parts, and firmware built from the ground up, the MMU3 delivers astonishing multi-material prints faster and more efficiently than its competitors. With 25-35 seconds per filament change and optimized nozzle cleaning, prints are beautifully fast and reliable, and you don't have to worry about cleaning piles of wasted filament residue around your printer all the time.

The MMU3 is up to three times more efficient at managing filament waste compared to other single-nozzle multi-material systems, resulting in significant cost savings.


Enclosure

If you want to print more advanced engineering materials on your MK4, you will find the enclosure really practical. It stabilizes the printer environment, eliminates drafts and odors, and makes the printer even quieter.

An enclosure is not necessary for every type of filament. Most common materials, such as PLA, PETG, and even some advanced (like PCCF) do not require an enclosure. But when you need to print with more advanced materials, such as ASA, ABS, PC, and similar, the enclosure is the best option for achieving increased temperatures in a stabilized environment, plus the optional high-performance filtration system takes care of ultrafine particles.

 

 

The Original Prusa Enclosure is available with a range of useful add-ons, such as the advanced filtration system with HEPA filter, LED strip, mechanical lock, or fire suppression system.
