Bamboo PA6-CF
Bambu PA6-CF is a carbon fiber reinforced PA6 (Nylon 6) filament. The carbon fiber reinforcement provides significantly high stiffness and strength in dry environments, while the filament maintains outstanding heat resistance and impact resistance. Like other Bambu CF filaments, these excellent mechanical properties make PA6-CF an ideal choice for printing fixtures, clamps, automotive and machine components, and various structural and technical parts used in dry environments.
Superior strength and stiffness
As a new member of Bambu's high-performance filaments, PA6-CF maintains excellent stiffness and strength in dry environments, making it ideal for printing load-bearing, structural components.

| Property | Normal PA-CF | PA6-CF | Improvement |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strength (flexural strength – XY, dry condition) | 128 MPa | 151 MPa | 18% |
| Stiffness (flexural modulus – XY, dry state) | 4420 MPa | 5460 MPa | 24% |
Impact and vibration resistance
Bambu PA6-CF has excellent impact resistance, ensuring effective vibration damping for your prints. The filament is often used for printing models that must withstand shocks, collisions and vibrations.

* Note: Prints made with PA6-CF become tougher after being exposed to moisture for more than 1 day.

Printing tips
-
Drying:
Recommended drying conditions: 80 °C for 10 hours. PA6-CF is very sensitive to moisture. For optimal printing performance, additional drying is recommended before use and after storage. See more details: Filament drying instructions on WIKI. -
Moisture and strength:
PA6-CF loses strength and stiffness when it absorbs water, and is therefore not recommended for printing models with high demands on strength, stiffness, and dimensional stability – especially thin and long models. However, prints made with PA6-CF usually become tougher and more impact-resistant when wet. If the model requires high toughness, the print can be moistened and softened beforehand. -
Supports:
When printing with support, support structures must be removed within 2 hours to prevent them from sticking after moisture and softening. If the support is difficult to remove, the print must be dried and cooled, and the support must then be removed in a timely manner. -
Surface treatment:
Fully impregnated surfaces with paint, wax or other water-repellent coatings can inhibit water absorption and prevent the print from softening.
