Excellent adhesion and improved durability
The optimized production process of the textured PEI sheet from Bambu has significantly improved both durability and adhesion. The first layer adhesion is strong and reliable – and you often do not need to use glue at all.
Note: Some specialty filaments may still require glue for optimal adhesion. See products for print adhesion

Self-loosening when cooled
PEI is ideal for 3D printing because it can withstand repeated heating and cooling cycles. When the heated bed cools down to room temperature (we recommend below 35°C), the print will automatically detach. If the print is still stuck, the flexible steel plate will bend easily – and the model will fall straight into your hand.

Compatible with many filament types
This build plate supports both common and advanced materials:
PLA, TPU, PETG, ABS, Nylon, etc. – even filaments with high temperature requirements.

Magnetic attachment – minimal warping
The 0.5mm thick steel core ensures strong magnetic contact with the build plate. It reduces the risk of warping and does not loosen the first layer during printing. Perfect for larger models and materials such as ABS, PC and Nylon that often warp.

Textured surface with a beautiful finish
The powder-coated PEI surface gives your prints a unique, rough texture on the bottom – ideal for those who want a distinctive finish straight from the print bed.

Increased heat bed temperature improves adhesion
Adjust the heat bed temperature according to material type and needs to achieve optimal adhesion. -
Cleaning the nozzle before auto-leveling
The nozzle must be wiped repeatedly in the specially designed wiping area before auto-leveling to remove residual material.
The coating in this area will wear over time – this is completely normal and does not affect print quality or nozzle life. -
Dust and grease reduce adhesion
Clean the build plate regularly with water and mild detergent to ensure optimal adhesion. Avoid using acetone – it can damage the PEI surface. -
Only use Bambu Labs official glue
Bambu Lab recommends using only their own glue. Damage caused by third-party products is not covered by the warranty. -
Let the plate cool before removing the print.
Always wait a few minutes for the plate to cool down (preferably below 35°C) before removing the model. This will protect both the plate and the PCB from damage. -
Restore adhesion with fine sandpaper
Gentle sanding with sandpaper (600 grit recommended) can help restore surface grip. -
Automatic calibration supported
Latest firmware update improves compatibility with Micro Lidar and supports fully automatic calibration of the PEI plate. -
Consumables with limited warranty
The PEI sheet is a consumable item and will degrade over time. The warranty only covers manufacturing defects – not cosmetic wear such as scratches, dents or cracks. Only sheets that are defective upon receipt are covered.
