If only one AMS HT is connected to the printer, PTFE tube coupler (FAZ006), 4-pin cable (CAB002-N) and Filament Buffer (SA003) are required.
-
If connecting multiple AMS (including AMS HT, AMS, AMS 2 Pro), it is recommended to purchase PTFE tube coupler (FAZ006), 4-pin cable (CAB002-N) and AMS Hub (SA002-N).
-
-
For P2 series owners:
-
If less than 3 AMS (including AMS HT, AMS, AMS 2 Pro) are connected to the printer, Filament Buffer - P2S (SA011) and Bambu Bus Cable (CAB035) are required.
-
If more than 2 AMS (including AMS 2 Pro, AMS HT) are connected, Filament Buffer - P2S (SA011), Bamboo Bus Cable (CAB035) and 4-in-1 PTFE Adapter (FAZ013-N) are required.
-
-
For H2S owners: If connecting more than one AMS (including AMS 2 Pro, AMS HT), 4-in-1 PTFE adapter (FAZ013-N) is required.
-
For H2D/H2C owners: If connecting more than 2 AMS (including AMS 2 Pro, AMS HT), 4-in-1 PTFE adapter (FAZ013-N) is required.

FAQ for AMS HT
1. What is the difference between the two outlet ports on the back of the machine?
The port on the back of the top cover is specifically designed for TPU filament . Due to the softness of TPU filament, it can easily fail when using the AMS 2 Pro's automatic feeding function.
How to use TPU:
-
Insert the filament into the AMS HT, making sure the material thread rotates in the correct direction.
-
Insert the material tube into the TPU output port and manually push the filament through the PTFE tube until it is fully loaded into the extruder.
Note:
a) When TPU is used, the AMS HT cannot use automatic feeding and retraction, but can still be used as a drying box to prevent moisture in the material.
b) AMS HT cannot perform filament drying while the filament is being fed through the bypass port and a print is being started.
2. Can AMS HT be used with X-Series and P-Series printers?
-
If only one AMS HT is connected to an X or P series printer, PTFE tube coupler , 4-pin cable and Filament Buffer are required.
-
If multiple AMS HT units are connected, it is recommended to purchase an AMS Hub .
Note:
-
AMS HT compatibility with A1 and A1 mini printers will be added via an OTA update in Q3 2025 .
For more information, see: wiki .
3. Can I print and dry filament at the same time?
Printing while drying is not yet supported, including any AMS devices associated with the current print job (e.g. AMS devices assigned to auto-replenish).
However, you can dry filament in AMS devices that are not assigned to the current print job.
4. How many AMS HT units can be connected to the X1 and P1 series simultaneously?
X1 and P1 series printers support up to 4 AMS HT devices connected at the same time.
5. Can the AMS HT be connected directly to the printer for drying?
H2D as well as X, P and A series printers can be connected to AMS HT to use the drying function.
Important:
-
Each AMS HT requires an external 220V power supply for drying.
-
It is not supported to draw power from the printer.
-
The power supply is included in the product package .
6. Does it support standalone drying without connection to the printer?
When using the AMS HT's drying function, the AMS HT must be connected to the printer via a 6-pin bus cable to ensure that the printer is powered on and set to filament drying mode.
AMS HT cannot perform autonomous drying without connection to the printer.
