Upgrade your Bambu Lab AMS to dry filament
The SUNLU AMS Heater is an upgrade to Bambu Labs' first generation AMS, replacing the top lid to enable simultaneous drying and printing of filament. It heats up quickly and evenly to 70°C in 20 minutes, and actively controls humidity and temperature to improve print quality and save time and space.

Drying and printing are performed simultaneously
This is a heating unit that can upgrade the top cover of the AMS. Compared to the traditional AMS printing process where you have to dry the filament before printing, the upgraded version allows printing and drying at the same time.

Intelligent humidity monitoring mode
① Default heating temperature in humidification mode: 55°C — users can adjust and save the temperature.
② Standard operating time: 6 hours.
③ When the countdown ends, the unit will not turn off; it will automatically start heating when the humidity rises to 50% and stop heating when the humidity drops to 20%.
④ In rH mode, users can adjust the humidity (range: 25%–50%).
After adjustment, the device automatically starts using the set value.

20 minutes to 70℃
High-efficiency heating with even temperature distribution, reaching 70°C within 20 minutes. The dual airflow design ensures uniform heat distribution, prevents local overheating of materials, and effectively reduces the risk of thermal deformation.

About rH mode
When the AMS heater is in “rH mode”, the display will remain on after the countdown is over and the “Time” indicator will show “Close”.
In “rH mode”, the default humidity limit is set to 50%. When the humidity exceeds 50%, the AMS heater starts heating.
Users can adjust the activation threshold for “rH mode” within the range of 25% to 50%, as needed.
For example, if set to 25%, the heater will activate when the humidity exceeds 25%. When the humidity drops to 20%, the AMS heater will stop heating and switch to standby mode.

Compact and space-saving upgrade
The AMS Heater is easily installed on top of the AMS with a “loosen-shift-tighten” principle in approximately two minutes. It supports up to 16 stacked coils and maintains a compact design.


Built-in security features
Combines PTC heating element, thermal fuse at 115°C and software control of heating and ventilation for safe and stable operation.

Why it is relevant
This upgrade saves both time and space by enabling drying directly in the AMS. It reduces moisture problems and is a much cheaper alternative to the Bambu Labs AMS 2 Pro.

As for the visibility of the lid, the entire lid is not fully transparent. There is a transparent area on the front of the lid which allows the internal operation to be seen.
What other precautions should be taken when using AMS heaters?

When opening this product, lift it only to the specified stop position. Pay attention to the opening angle and force to avoid damage from excessive movement.

To ensure optimal drying results, do not open the AMS heater during the drying process.

When the ambient temperature is below 10℃, slow heating or an actual temperature in the chamber that is slightly lower than the displayed temperature is normal.

When setting the working temperature to 70℃, make sure the filament spool has a temperature tolerance above 70℃ to avoid deformation.
