If you love to modify your 3D printer, add new features, and customize it to your liking, our accelerometer module for printer developers and modders will definitely come in handy! With it, you can easily measure the resonant frequency of each axis and recalibrate your Input Shaper to the optimal values, ensuring that your modded 3D printer operates at maximum efficiency.
Our printers come from the factory with pre-configured, optimized Input Shaper values that have been collected and fine-tuned across many of our machines. With a standard printer, you will never need any further adjustment as any potential improvement after recalibration would be quite insignificant.
However, some modifications, such as a mod on Nextruder, can affect the printer's design to the extent that the original Input Shaper values are no longer valid. You can then easily use our accelerometer to recalibrate it. Simply plug it into the xBuddy board using the connector on the back of the MK4S 3D printer, attach it to the print head and heatbed, and perform a full recalibration of the Input Shaper.
Although this tool is intended for modders and developers, it is very easy to install the accelerometer on the printer and use it.
