Prusa Core ONE L Print Sheet

Different print sheets for Prusa Core One L.

Textured Powder-coated

OVERVIEW:

Powder coating applied directly to the metal makes this build plate very resistant to damage. Should a heated nozzle hit it, the metal can conduct the heat away. The powder coating also gives the surface a distinctive textured appearance, which will be visible on your prints. The textured surface hides most of the mechanical damage that can occur from tools. Only the top of the small bumps can be scratched, which will not leave marks on the bottom of the model. This surface is used on our print farm – look at the parts you have already printed for reference.

More details about the spring steel sheets can be found in our knowledge base.

WARNING:

Never clean the textured PEI powder-coated spring steel sheet with acetone! This will create micro-fractures in the PEI surface, causing the surface to degrade over time. Read more about printing on the textured PEI powder-coated steel sheet on our blog.

Note:

Consumable parts, such as PEI sheets (smooth, textured, etc.), are not covered by warranty, as the coatings are designed to wear over time, unless the failure is due to a material defect or manufacturing defect. Cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches, dents, cracks or other cosmetic damage, is also not covered by warranty. Only defective sheets upon delivery are covered by warranty.

FEATURES

Smooth PEI

OVERVIEW:

You might leave small marks on the print surface with your nozzle or tools; these will typically be shinier than the rest of the surface. However, this does not affect functionality or adhesion. If you want the entire print sheet surface to look uniform, you can re-condition it. The easiest method is to take the abrasive side of a dry dish sponge and gently wipe the affected area with circular motions a few times.

More details about the spring steel sheets can be found in our knowledge base.

Small dots may appear on the surface of the PEI-Ultem steel sheet. These can slightly affect the appearance of the bottom surface of the print, but they do not in any way affect the printing process itself or the reliability of the print. We do not consider these dots a basis for a claim.

FEATURES

Satin Powder-coated

OVERVIEW:

The Satin sheet further expands our range of print sheets. In terms of print properties, the Satin sheet sits between the smooth and textured variants. Its powder-coated surface with a slightly textured matte finish offers an optimal level of adhesion, especially when printing PLA and PETG materials. It is fully compatible with a wide range of common and less common filaments, such as ABS, ASA, FlexFill 98A, polycarbonate, and more. Most materials can be printed without a separate release layer (e.g., glue).

Polycarbonate: Prints better on the Satin sheet compared to smooth and textured sheets. However, for frequent printing with PC, a layer of glue stick is recommended to prevent possible damage to the sheet.

More details about the spring steel sheets can be found in our knowledge base.

WARNING:

Never clean the Satin powder-coated spring steel sheet with acetone! This will create micro-fractures in the surface and cause it to degrade over time. Read more about printing on Satin powder-coated steel sheets in our knowledge base.

FEATURES

PP powder-coated

OVERVIEW:

The heatbed has embedded magnets with a high Curie temperature. These magnets can securely hold removable spring steel sheets.

This print sheet is specifically designed for printing with polypropylene-based filaments, especially Prusament PP Carbon Fiber Black. PP materials generally have lower adhesion on textured or satin print sheets. This sheet features a special surface treatment that increases adhesion and is ideal for Prusament PP.

The PP sheet has a slightly textured surface, similar to the Satin Powder-coated Steel Sheet.

You can read more about the PP sheet in our online help article.

IMPORTANT!

Never clean the PP sheet with acetone! Acetone partially dissolves the sheet's surface and leaves stains. It can also negatively affect both the adhesion properties and the sheet's lifespan. Read more about printing on the PP sheet in our online help article.

FEATURES

Notes:

Consumable parts, such as PEI sheets (smooth, textured, PP, etc.), are not covered by warranty, as the coatings are designed to gradually wear over time, unless a failure is due to a material or manufacturing defect. Cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches, dents, cracks, or other cosmetic damage, is also not covered by warranty. Only sheets that are defective upon receipt are covered by warranty.

After removing a 3D printed object, you may see a visible imprint on the sheet's surface. This is only a visual change: it leaves no marks on subsequent 3D printed parts and does not affect printing properties in any way. Therefore, it is not considered a basis for a claim.

Due to the temperatures the sheet is exposed to during printing, parts of the heatbed's texture may become embossed into the underside of the sheet, making some areas slightly shinier. This visual change does not negatively affect printing properties and is also not considered a reason for a claim.

PA Nylon Powder-coated

OVERVIEW:

The heatbed has embedded magnets with a high Curie temperature. These magnets can securely hold removable spring steel sheets in place.

This print sheet is specially designed for printing polyamide-based filaments, especially Prusament PA11 Carbon Fiber Black. The PA11 type generally has lower adhesion on textured or satin print sheets. This sheet features a special surface treatment that increases adhesion and is perfect for Prusament PA11. You can read more about the Double-sided Powder-coated PA Nylon Spring Steel Sheet in our knowledge base.

IMPORTANT!

The surface of this sheet must only be cleaned with plain water. Using common cleaning agents like IPA or acetone will quickly degrade the surface. Using glue stick is no longer necessary or recommended. To clean greasy areas, use plain water with a drop of dish soap.

FEATURES

Notes:

Consumable parts, such as PEI sheets (smooth, textured, nylon, etc.), are not covered by warranty, as the coatings are designed to wear over time, unless the failure is due to a material defect or manufacturing defect. Cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches, dents, cracks or other cosmetic damage, is also not covered by warranty. Only defective sheets upon delivery are covered by warranty.

Due to the temperatures the sheet is exposed to during printing, its surface will gradually become shinier or may develop minor, dull-toned areas. This visual change does not affect printing properties and is not considered a basis for a claim.

Note that on the Original Prusa XL, wear on the PA Nylon sheet is especially visible at the Z-probing points, where the nozzle leaves visible marks on the surface. This does not affect the surface adhesion or overall printability. You can see examples of these marks in our knowledge base article.

A new batch of PA Nylon sheets will be launched in July/August 2024. The new version will feature a slightly coarser surface texture. This change does not affect the sheet's functional properties. You can also see the changes in our knowledge base article.
